@Zeitzchaim so what I basicly understand from what you are saying is that god is making them starving to make us learn a lesson to listen to him?!? What a f*cking douchbag don't you think?
-
@KennyTew2 I think you misunderstand me. Let's just say hypothetically there is no infinite source to the definable universe, just by the wind always blowing off my yarmulke means it would be foolish not to find something that will prevent it from always flying off. the wind is communicating that it will blow it off if I choose to not have something hold it. therefore, there is communication going on, but of course I understand the communication is with the source of all definable things.

@Chaimzeitz I think my point was that you are reading too much into it by assuming the wind has a purposefully message, but thanks for responding.

3) agrees with them, regardless of their view, is because they made him up?
God has a great sense of humour; he sets it up so that half the world is starving to teach me a lesson. Couldn't he say, "Oi, Kenny Share!"? And not make millions die horribly? I wonder how many people had to die of starvation before the infastructure was put in place for us to be able to help? Thousands of generations killed so he can waggle his finger now?
Poems don’t give birth, what a stupid thing to say.

2) you should congratulate anyone who farts near you, isn’t it obvious? Perhaps it was a challenge, with the wind representing the worlds poverty, can’t you see it? No good Jew should rest until the wind is gone? Or perhaps the wind was the product of the sun heating the air causing convection currents which interact with the spin of the earth to cause your hat to blow off and no one made it happen and the universe isn’t about you. Perhaps the reason why everyone of faith has a god who....

@Zeitzchaim @Zeitzchaim What incredible arrogance assuming that perfectly natural events are contrived for your benefit, Can’t god just walk up to you like a real person and say “get a new hat?” Why can’t god give a clearer message? Perhaps Allah was telling you to abandon your Judaism, Perhaps the wind was the swish of Thor’s hammer as he sends a shot across your bow for worshiping the wrong god? Maybe the message was more obscure, Hat’s off to wind, surely that means...

Can God talk if he wanted to? He used to, right? Perhaps it could be argued he only used angels or something -- like a rudimentary social networking. But What I want to know is what's the big idea here? Am I the only one that thinks the story is... a little... strange. There's this fight between good and evil. Very Hollywood. The bad guys are super bad guys and the good guys are super good. It's like a movie. God's trying to help people, but he never tells us anything directly. Whats the deal?
Where did this happen, if it was in a major city then it wouldn't be that odd, in fact a similar thing happened to me, except it was fliers for my haunted house that blew away. You know what I took that as a sign of, the wind was blowing slightly harder than my grip on the flier.
I kind of want to punch nuns in the face... do you think that's weird?

@Jonstern1983 You are right - it is not odd but you were not looking at the whole picture - that would be G-d telling you next time hold on to your papers better - that simple. Every moment G-d is speaking - if he stopped speaking, we would cease to exist. Weird is not the right word, wrong would be. I don't agree with Chrisitinity, but they do not deserve to be punched.

So God decide to pay special attention to you at Office Max by blowing off your silly hat but God will not give starving children in Africa the time of day?
Are you an atheist pulling a joke?

@adobePC They are obviously starving for a reason, and that means G-d is telling us to help them, but know one will listen other than angilina joley :P
Zeitzchaim 1 year ago
@adobePC G-d does pay attention to those starving in africa. How? We here in the coutries that have an abundance of food could share it. It takes us to recpognize G-d gave us the resources to refine this world. G-d is always giving his creations attention, but we need to hear it and interact with it, ie sharing starving people the food tha G-d has allowed us to have.

@Zeitzchaim You DO realize that Edward Current is actually making fun of religion, right? He's a comedian. . .
