  • Read Wolfram and see automated search and searching the space of solutions is not always a bad idea. Genetic algorithms are used because they are extremely useful ie antenna designs and even drug designs. As with any technique proper application is everything if you don't understand the technique then you won't use it properly. Finally machine super intelligence is not guaranteed as you seem to imply, it is hoped for and worked towards but is not a certainty yet.

  • Well im guessing random methods are hardly used in design nowadays but more personally used?
