  • @FullBellyFruit Nope - the platform was surrounded by tall grasses in a large valley, so I personally didn't have any issue with heavy winds. The worse I got was nearly being rained on when it was raining and there were high winds - the tarps really helped though and myself and all my my things were dry and just fine!

  • Epic. Any issues with heavy winds?

  • @SargonBighorn Ask Eric Rivkin who built them - his site is vivalaraw(dot)org

  • Great bamboo frame. Do you have written plans? I'd love a set.

  • @pinetree909 Nope. not at all. I would walk down to my tent barefoot from the main rancho, about a 4 minute walk, and I saw a giant anteater once. Other than that, birds and ants were it. When I was asleep, I never had any problems since it was a raised platform and I was zipped up inside. There were probably a lot of wild raccoons around, but I only heard them in the tall grass and never saw them.

  • Were you bothered by insects, snakes, wild animals etc.
