that does not look pre-ballet it looks a little advance

is this an open house maybe?
-
the correct term would probably be pre-pointe
-
if this is pre-ballet....i'm in trouble, cause i can't do splits! this looks a bit challenging for the first class....
-
They are doing minimum 2nd grade as minimum, but not pre ballet. All teachers might dream about pre ballet students like they are....

@LaMargoful I'm going to start pre-ballet and I'm 10.. I'm taking a class with kids my age, though. Isn't pre-ballet just beginner?
-
To people saying this isn't pre-ballet... it definitely is lol. They're just going over pirouette/pique preps, changement and sous-sus, etc
For recreational classes though this obviously isn't pre.
@noshititskrae good luck with ballet! Sorry you had such a rough experience. Sometimes talented teachers teach to the highest level of the class, instead of the overall, which can be frustrating. You WILL improve. :)

@Kibifos I too started older. I want you to find another class you feel comfortable with.
No matter what your first ballet classes will be overwhelming. I have danced now for 20 years.
I started at 30. I hope you continued with ballet or you will try again. I am what they call a balletomane. I have balletomania and want the whole world to dance!

I honestly had a first class which had stuff this complicated in it today. They went so fast and it was unbelievably overwhelming. I felt absolutely horrible about myself after because I couldnt do any of it. I understand I am starting as an adult, but I still don't see how I can be expected to follow 16 steps with arm movements after one showing, and then do it myself to music. I wanted to cry.
This is "Pre-ballet"??? The girls look like they've done ballet lessons before!
