Coop bank robbed ksh80m

Mystery surrounds the loss of Ksh80 million from the headquarters of the Cooperative bank in Nairobi. Investigators say that people posing as cash--in-transit crew from the security firm G4S, went to the bank headquarters and calmly signed away the cash that was due for collection. Good for the bank. I don't feel sorry for the bank at all. In this time and age how can they just not have better systems in place to ascertain who they are handing out their money to?

Good lesson for them. I only feel sorry for the shareholders of co-operative bank. This will in someway affect dividends.

Some Kenyans are so innovative. That was the quickest way to become a millionaire. I just wish it was legal. Anyway, the bank's insurer will pay back for the loss and so the robbery was not a big deal for the bank.

Typical Kenyan incompetence. 80 million released so casually. It's time for all banks to have tacker bags when transporting cash. These bags should be fitted with micro-chips that can be activated to give location in instances like this. Yes, the technology exists!
