Tainted Love was a big hit for Soft Cell (it ranked #2 on VH1's 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders), but few people knew it was originally recorded by Gloria Jones of Motown fame in 1964. It's been covered by hundreds of artist since, from Rihanna to Marilyn Manson.
Detroit synthpop group Brave New World covered the track in 1991. This clip was recorded at the legendary Los Angeles rock club, Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip during BNW's few west coast tour in 1996 opening for Anything Box.
