Note: I only wash, blow dry and flat iron my hair and I've never had a relaxer.

Has always had this volume and length, or have you noticed at a particular change or time period in which your hair routine became different that you would accredit to the health of your hair

I'm not necessarily asking for a hair journey, but has your hair always been like this?

@hmm101alot My hair has always been pretty thick. As far as the length goes, I noticed it getting longer as I got older. I've never had a relaxer and have worn my hair pressed/flat ironed or curly my whole life. :)

An acquaintance at church asked me if my hair were real and before I could say the "s" part of the "yes" her hand was in my hair and scalp too. WHY?!

@cumensu Im not trying to make any comparision. I just letting her know that I know how its feels to have something different that certain people usually see. I dont think I have a genetic mutation where did you get that from? its something NORMAL and COMMON been blond, even if your black!

@EJOCHI, what is your point? Being blonde to begin with is rare. Having blonde hair and being black is very rare. You probably have a genetic mutation. Are you trying to make a comparison with long black hair and a black person having blonde hair?

Having naturally long hair in the black community should be seen as normal not " your hair is so long it must be a weave or you must be mixed." That is so backwards and a really silly way to think. But if black women are stereotyped for wearing weave all the time then it comes as no surprise.
