Sheep May Safely Graze. if u love bach music, this is your vid. this is an orchestral version of this bach's hit. very well played. nice basso continuo.
i know there is no singing in this version, but this is the translation to english of this piece text (i got it from wikkipedia):
Sheep may safely graze
where a good shepherd watches.
Where rulers govern well
we may feel peace and rest
and what makes countries happy

Text (German):
Schafe können sicher weiden,
Wo ein guter Hirte wacht.
Wo Regenten wohl regieren,
Kann man Ruh und Friede spüren
Und was Länder glücklich macht.

  • Bach's music seems to merge the organic and spiritual worlds. He often came up with these little patterns, these flourishes like in this piece, that seem simple but strike a chord in your being. It's like looking at patterns in nature, like Mandelbrots or simply magnifications of seashells or "simple" life. But Bach's music comes alive and talks directly to your head and heart. For those who have the capacity to listen.

  • I BELIEVE THAT WHEN HEAVEN'S GATES ARE OPEN TO US WEARY SOUL'S THAT THIS PIECE OF BACH WILL RESOUND THROUGH THE KINGDOM. kAREN J Anderson

  • SUNGLASSES. LIKE A MOFOING BAOS!

Bach really knew what he did, and he knew what to do

to make the world a better place, just like a boss.

  • Beautiful song!:)

  • This is the best version of Sheep May Safely Graze I have heard. The harpsichord really complements it well. Would love to know if this version is available on CD.

  • "Music is like a tiger. I don't mean to say that it's vicious. What I mean is that music, or musical harmonies and melodies, have a tendency to camoflague themselves in the forest of the soul, that great subconscious rainforest. Yet, despite being a rainforest, and not a temperate zone, sheep dwell therein. That is why I wrote a song about sheep. Sheep of the subconscious rainforest, and no, I do not have a valium addiction." ---- J. S. Bach, Leipzig, 1741.
