  • I must have used to listen to mush faster version of this, while I was a child. It could be Kulenkampffs' or another Szeryng's.

  • Thank you!!

My dad was waiting for Kulenkampffs for ages!!

  • wow i really want to play this concerto but i can't find the sheet music anywhere! any suggestions? :) thanks!

  • yes!! you should! please!!

I am sorry, but I don't know about the sheet music. I guess it would be very difficult...

  • @joohoo8766 Look for it on IMSLP. I just downloaded it (:

  • @yoyoloveT try IMSLP

  • Gorgeous sound! Good interpretation. But I really really prefer Kulenkampff's version who has not this wonderful sound but as an interpreter of this concerto, Kulenkampff is much better, so far, he created the concerto with Hindemith in 1937.

But Thank you for uploading this treasure yet

  • @MIndependencePhoto Listen to Kulenkampff, you may change your opinion...

  • the best version i've listen!!! so big Szeryng!!

  • @joohoo8766

try in IMSLP (it's a website)

  • @yoyoloveT yoyoloveT Szeryng only recorded this once. It's faster than Kulenkampff, a bit, but Menhuin is faster. It's so difficult and non relenting on the soloist and one could hardly take it must faster. Just listen to those cross-bowings in the first movement and the frenetic writing in the polonaise (last movement).

  • The "feminine" second theme in this movement, as so often in Schumann, melts the heart.

  • This is the version that I have on vinyl, which sounds even more fantastic.
