Lithuania-Japan Architecture Event East-East 1

The event "East-East" was held in July 2002 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
It was an international friendship event betweeen Lithuania and Japan trhrough a series of architecture events. There was an architectural exhibition held in the National Museum, along with the keynote speech by Ar. Fumihiko Maki, one of the leading international architect of our times. The exhibition featured 13 contemporary Japanese architects, including Kengo Kuma, Taro Ashihara, Chiaki Arai, Hidetoshi Ohno, Koh Kitayama, Tetsuo Furuichi, George Kunihiro, Hiroshi Naito, Tadasu Ohe, Ken Yokogawa, Kazuo Iwamura, Atsushi Kitagawara and Nobuaki Furuya.
In 2009, the East-East 2 is being planned to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
