In 2003, our daughter underwent an operation at the famous Great Ormond Street Hospital to correct a series of congenital heart defects called Tetralogy of Fallots. This was our journey.

  • Wow my younger sister went to great ormond street when she was a baby and had an heart operation too , i never got to see my mum, but my sister survived and im glad to see her survive too!

  • Hi there and thank you for your comment. Funny as I was just chatting to my little girl when we saw your message. She says "It's very kind of you and thank you so much. I am glad your sister was OK too."

From my side, very sad to hear of your loss then, but I am sure you are very close as a family. Only way to be.

    Kindest thoughts

  • just to say, i'm 16 i was misdiagnosed with tretalogy of fallot when i was 7 days old, turned out that i had pulmonary artresi, slightly more severe, which is where the pulmary artery is non-existent rather than blocked. just thought id say from an older patient/childs point of view that if shes anything like me her scars will just become her battle badges and she will actually grow to love them, and that as painful as some of the stuff looks its not all that bad, shes gorgeous and very brave. x

  • Thanks Emily.. I hope you're doing well with your health. Our daughter is perfectly well now, thankfully, and we've been luckier than some. Best wishes to you. Keep well.x

  • Oh My Goodness.

What a beautiful little angel. How hard that must have been for you as parents. I am so glad that she is all good.

This videa was very touching. Thankyou.

Much Love, to you and your daughter.

    xxxx

  • Thank you so much, Sorry I haven't replied in such a long time. Our little girl is fine now, and full of life. Puts us all to shame when we moan about a miserable day! LOL. Thank you again! xx

  • Great video. One of my twin daughters had open heart surgery to correct her TOF + PAPVD at Columbus Childrens Hospital. It was the only place in the US we could get the surgery done bloodless. An awesome experience. Surgery on monday AM and discharged Wed afternooon. It sound like our kids were discharged with the same....NO LIMITS! All fixed - all better for life. Again great photos. Take Care.
