Running a handful of West Coast of South Island, New Zealand rivers and creeks in older model, thighstrapped-equipped Alpacka Rafts during January 2010. Boaters include Roman Dial (Alaskan), Tim Johnson (Alaskan), Erik Tomsen (Alaskan living in NZ), Gavin Mulvay (Kiwi), Allen O'Bannon (American living in NZ), and Rob Hughes-Games (Kiwi). Whitewater includes Upper Hokitika, Arahura, Landsborough, Taipo, Oparara, and Mokihinui Rivers.

love to see the carnage video! I am in admiration of your paddling skills and courage. Does the pack in the front help with preventing backloops?

yes, pack on bow helps but thigh straps and moving seat forward helps more, especially in trickier water (Class IV)
