@Jonathandreamer I think that it is because that most of the people in that time, were only lisining to rock music with gitars, because that they thought that music without gitars in it, has nothing to do with music at all, and when it were only some of the bands that played this kind of music that Data did, that got money enough, so they could still living by it, and when i think that most times it all depends on money, unfortunatly.

Wow! A total Electronic Gem. Why was this not massive? This deserves to be blasting out of speakers at an electriconic club night like "Electric Dreams" in London.

Wonderful song. I remember dancing to this at 950 club in Chicago in the early/mid 80s.

People know House came from Chicago but the world still hasnt heard the underground dance sound that started their too. Now both are the most underground music of them all.

@g1a1h1 This song was the last song played at Medusa's on Sheffield. Psycho Bitch played it three times in a row. People didn't want to leave so they wound up closing at 6:00 AM…..

@rosethearttherapist Yes indeed this was a big hit in Chicago as well as many many other underground songs…. :-) Chicago has been way ahead of the times when it comes to music…

This one and Stop were classic cuts at Medusas

Certainly not a one-hit wonder group. Remember Richochet Love, etc.? Data were obviously mis-managed because they contribution to the 80's scene is incredibly under-played. The strong image and voice projected by Frankie with the backing of song-writer Georg produced an undeniably unusual sound that beat Annie Lennox's always. However, the UK media did not recognise it and the group's talent was overlooked. Sad, but great to see this video here on Youtube.

Pleasant memories come up..especially when is was introduced to this track back in the fall of 1983...Not knowing that Data was a Georg Kajanus creation after he left Sailor.
