Pallmeyer would've been great, but Franken has the name recognition it takes to get stuff done. But I wish one of his biggest points wasn't "He has a sense of humor"; he's representing my state! I want a proffesional-seeming senator, not a comedian. But it's just a small thing- he'll be great.

I loved Hubert Humphrey, and knew he cared about this country, ]and the hard working evreyman, and I love Al Franken now for the very same reasons!
I wish you all the luck in the world Minnesota! Good people in Senate seats IS an important issue in all the other states, TOO, because the more like AL that we can get SITTING in those important Seats, the better off our whole country will be!

Go Al!! I had a dream recently that it was the 2008 election and I found out Al won the senate seat when I was on my campus (U of Minnesota, Morris) and I was screaming and shouting with excitement, (I probably actually did some yelling in my sleep because I'm notorious for it). Anyway, in my dream, Al appears all smiley and happy for winning wearing a shirt that says, "#1 Comedian". I'm really hoping my dream comes true, at least the election part of it. ;-)
