Metasonix D-1000 Pud-Pounder Drum Machine

I shot this on the last day of the NAMM show. Chuck, Amos and I go about discovering the D-1000 and how its sequencer and other functions work. The first 'droning monk' sound that is heard is coming from The Harvestman's Eurorack system and is primarily generated by the Piston Honda. I turned it off after a few seconds into the video solely so that the D-1000 can be properly heard.

The CV input jacks per voice control the TUNE function. We introduce these jacks to the FoH Choices Joystick and the STG Graphic Sequencer.

I'm the left hand on the left of the screen. Amos is the right hand with the barb-wire bracelets. Chuck is the other right hand.

It may be helpful to filter out some of the background crowd noise if you wish to hear this machine a little better. In person, it really has some meaty character.

The tubes are the inexpensive part. However, the design work, cost of assembly and other factors (such as Metasonix being a boutique shop which means not high-volume like Korg) makes the price what it is. I think that the pricing is fair given what it is and that it is unique.

I just purchased one. Was never a drum d00d. Now I can pretend I am playing with a percussion pact of bucktooth stuttering cheese monkeys..
