I appreciate you sharing your teaching gifts! Very easy to understand and learn quickly.

Sounds good:) But maybe you should tune your drums abit, that would make it great:)

Hi!
I am really blessed by your tutorial, and I pray that God continues to use you to help others.
Just one thing though, I am relatively new to playing drums and only started learning 2-3 months ago. What I've seen with most drum covers, including yours (however yours is the most user friendly one I've seen) is that the player of the drums rushes through the teaching a fair bit, and it's quite hard to comprehend all of it. Just a tip for other videos that you may do is, if you can go through

@NewLifeChurchWorship that would be great, but of course, no rush, thankyou for helping to equip others!! I'm a keyboard player first and foremost but played drums in church for about 5 years between the age of 16 and 21 (I'm 32 now)....

@pearlygatesuk Awesome. A great tip for you would be this; if you want great speed and for your rolls (RRLLRRLLRRLL) to sound great, you have to learn better stick control. If you want better stick control, practice very slow and as "correct" as you can. Would it help if I did a video on this topic?
each bit more thoroughly and maybe explain what you are doing (i.e what rudiments). I've found your version of the Our God is Love drum cover the best on youtube, however I don't feel it teaches me to the extent it can do.
Sorry if it sounds if I'm complaining! Just a bit of advice.!
God Bless you! x

@sundaybradley No worries! generally you don't see to much rudiments when you're playing parts. It's mostly seen in the more technically complicated parts. But yes, praticing your rudiments will give superior stick control and will give you great finess. Most of the time you'll find that you would actually have to go out of your way to incorporate a rudiment into the part your playing, sometimes it's the only way you can play the part.

@sundaybradley in fact, there is one part in particular that I can think of right now. It would be the main groove for the song "Savior King" of the "All of the Above" cd from Hillsong United. It has a flam, a paradiddle, 5-stroke roll, and a 7-stroke roll. But anyway, I'm just ramblin' now, thank you for that feedback! I will definitely keep that in mind for future tutorials :) Have a blessed day!
