It sure does look like the tube supplying the smoke to the fantech was under much less pressure than the other tests. Over pressurizing the intake tube and restricting the exhaust will cause leaks.
Fantech, please post a valid test to justify buying your product!

Wow had no idea these things were known to leak... I recently bought a nutone one for my bathroom. How would I go about testing this for myself? I can't be installing that in my attic if it leaks, or I'll get water problems due to condensation.

The guy said "at .2 static pressure and above"
They probably pressurized the entire duct to a given pressure (unsure of units used here) to demonstrate how airtight the fan housing is.
This is important if you are using the fan to exhaust a bathroom in an Indian restaurant as used curry gases are corrosive.
