If you have seen those martial arts fights on TV you know it takes a lot of energy and power for these guys to beat up on each other. It may surprise you that some of those beefy boys are ditching meat to become better athletes. We caught up with Adam Sugalski who is a local mixed martial arts fighter and a vegetarian. According to him, he has been knocking down the high protein myth one punch at a time. Adam says when people discover he is a vegetarian they sometimes chuckle thinking he can't be athletic and not consume animal protein. However, his choice to be a meat-free athlete puts him in good company with some of the world's top-rated athletes including Atlanta Falcon Tony Gonzalez, Milwaukee Brewers slugger Prince Fielder, legendary quarterback Joe Namath, 9-time Olympic gold medalist winner Carl Lewis and Dave Scott who holds the most iron-man world championship victories.

Was there a reason for the newscasters to talk at the end? Someone needs to edit that out. 'Where's the Beef'? Was that supposed to be funny? I love no talented media puppet heads who try to be comedians. Great message from the video.

It just amazes me how people can compare a plant based diet with an animal based diet and probably never successfully experienced the full benefits of a raw plant based diet or they may not have tried a vegan diet at all.
