Well, even if the dog was really playing (if he has such a temper), he noticed that this boy is scared and that he (the dog) plays the dominant part in that "gamefight".
That can lead to serious conflicts between them later ...

though i beleive it was playing as when it bit onto his arm it didnt lock the bite

yah i agree,, my young lad loves chewing my hand,, not hard-- just like mouthing it-- he seldom does it to other ppl and NEVER strangers,, he prefers to either ignore them or intimidate them,, it's an issue from being abused when before he was rescued.
I wouldn't punish him for it as it's a breed trait; Akitas are similar in that they are 'mouthy' too,, sometimes they like leading you around by the hand lol, although the bone he buried in the back isn't quite as interesting to me as him!!

as it has been said...dog didn't lock the bite, he was playing. The Boy is stupid asshole,, being scared of him, but obviously dog attacked only because the other guy told him to. Was just a family game, father/son/dog. It was all just fun.
Never understand why ppl, do not write more in description.
