  • I think it's a bit big considering the number of students but not too big if you ask me, and it's a beautiful campus.

  • I got in!

  • Rock on! Congrats!

  • @celloguy27 im a girl. and thanks for the info! im only a sophmore right now though so i'll see what happens.

  • @pri83ansi hey man, just to let you know, rice covers 100% of financial need, so it is really quite affordable(a subjective term). merit scholarships are also available so send in an app. and see what happens. i'm lucky enough to be starting my freshman year there on august 15th. good luck!

  • god i wanna go there so bad! but it's too expensive!! aghh! D=

  • thx! it brought me back to my days at Rice when i used to walk up and down the campus all day. my home school doesn't even have much space for a walk. i achingly wanna go back for just once and walk to Hamman Hall, or wherever, again.

  • @muffinru Obviously there are many schools that are on par with most, if not all, Ivy League schools in at least a number of programs. Rice is definitely one of them, as are MIT, Caltech, UChicago, Northwestern, Berkeley, Stanford, etc. If Rice is not an Ivy League school is not because it's not good or rich enough (in fact only two Ivy League schools are richer than Rice on a per capita basis, Princeton and Yale), but because of historical reasons.

  • cool and useful

  • @arcadefire1027

Did you transfer succesfully?Or have you not tried yet. If you did I hope you got in, if you havent I hope you will get in.

I believe that good universities care more about what you do with your given resources. So even if you come from a low ranking school but you did really well, I believe your chances are high. I'm still in high school, and it is ranked lowest of the low in the state..trust me XD

  • It seems kinda big and spread out...is it as big as it seems or am I judging too quickly?
