This is a fun holiday project! It's a Christmas card that lights up LEDs when you plug its USB cable into and USB port on a computer that's turned on. Here's the project page: http://hackaweek.com/hacks/?p=456
Will a sheet of black paper prevent the light from going beyond the cover and be seen?
I'm thinking of building one with a micro (and without the USB cable): it could show a binary countdown with 6 LEDs until it's Christmas (or New Year Eve) and *then* light up when you open it.
coool!!!!!!!!!

Be careful not to solder for too long on the LEDs. Those high bright LEDs cant stand too much heat. Just a few seconds will do.

I wish I had the idea earlier :)

Great project Dino! I love how the card is completely blank until you plug it in. Sweet! Keepin' it classy ;-) Keep hackin'!
