Qalandiya Checkpoint, 18.08.2004

Qalandiya checkpoint, the gate that strangles the Ramallah area, and that isolates it from Jerusalem, was the ending point of a march along the path of the wall - From Jenin to Jerusalem.
In this empowering event, demonstrators - Palestinians, Internationals and Israelis - were able to challenge the checkpoint, even if just for a short time, and break through and occupy it.
