@luvureally I know, and I do understand that, but the lead singer has enough to do the "mashed potatoes correctly, at least, if he's gonna be tame doing it. By the way, are you aware that these fellas here, which include young Dennis Edwards are not the entirely the original members? And if you've watched the "Live 1963" video, the leader isn't the same guy either, who really could cut up.

@simplymrfingers994 They were confined to a very small area and many Black musicians t.v. performances were very tame when compared to live performances. Contours were known for their energetic live performances which included splits they were known as the wildest dancers at Motown.

@luvureally For starters, why don't you watch the original Contours do it, "Do You Love Me" (Live 1963), or James Brown, at least as far as the mashed potatoes is concerned. 2nd, I don't know how old you are, but back in those days, that type of dancing was a little stiff, compared to how it was REALLY being done.
