Home made jib from aluminium from Bunnnings hardware, telescopic pedestal made from aluminium from a aluminium supplies. Pedestal telescopes from 1.4m to 2m jib has 3 lengths, 1.4, 3.2 and 5.2 with amax lens to ground of 7.2m

Thanks I'm glad you like it, and yes it is just sitting on the dolly but the bolt heads that hold the dolly together also keep it centred and the cables keep it in place, as for the way that the extensions fit together they just slot together, there is a smaller piece of aluminium inside one of the extensions, if you are interested I will post a detail video of how they fit, the telescopic pedestal has a bolt that goes through both telescoping sections. hope this helps.

How does it telescope & lock ?

It's not bolted to the base ? just floating with the cables to hold it in place ?

I see 3 holes in the base , those just accept pins / bolts without nuts ?

also, in the last shots , it looks as if you've added an extension.

how are you securing & attaching segments ?

BTW: i built my own pan-tilt :) kevlar belt drive with X,Y & Z balance adjustments. :)

very good movements , i loved it!!!!!now i gotta get mine to pan and tilt next all i need is a battery to control it by rc remote
