Stay tuned for "Secret Storm" next over most of these CBS stations!

I really hate how GSN now compresses the closing into a tiny window and kill the audio so they can run squeeze in their own promo material. The speed-up mentality of showbiz needs to stop, it cheapens everything it touches. Viva la match game.

I think Dom Casual is the font for the closing credits.

I think Bill was still doing Three on a Match by this time, right? and then $25,000 Pyramid

@yaggy9 can't agree with you more. I like the closing audio.
-
sorry about the typo, meant I love seeing Gene and Brett and all of them, sucks that they squish the ending real small and shoves their promos in all the time
-
@yaggy9 I agree, I just started watching and "getting" into it on GSN, love this show, was on a decade before my time, but it's so awesome, it sucks because it still shows the late great Gene, Brett and other cast members body language at end of show and you can read the full credits...

Note Dick DeBartolo's name on the credits. That's the same Dick DeBartolo from MAD Magazine. When he came on board the NBC version of "The Match Game" in 1965, he was the one who added the naughty "spice" to the show's questions with our old friends John and Mary. THe show went from fun to outright hilarious. He came on board "Match Game" to do the same thing, and really expanding on it. DeBartolo never followed "Match Game' to Califorinia, but mailed his material from New York.

@excuseyou77 - though one 1970s nighttime special episode of Hollywood Squares w/ Peter Marshall experimented w/ running their credits horizontally once.

@yaggy9 Hey! I hate that kind of closing myself. Credit crunching sucks big time! It's so disrespectful to the ones who produced this kind of show. What if their family wants to see the name(s) of those who gave us this good TV.
-
I'm really glad Match Game is still on GSN, but I really wish they wouldn't show an ad during the credits, especially on classic shows. For some reason, though, on the Wheel of Fortune marathon that happened last Friday they didn't do the normal credit crunch.

@4PMGame "The Secret Storm" was a soap opera that ran on CBS in various mid-to-late afternoon time slots from February 1954 to February 1974, replaced by "Tattletales."
Wasn't Elin Frankel, who was on the show's staff, also the musical director at one time for the Mike Douglas Show? Or was that some other Elin Frankel?

Not sure completely as I don't know much about Mike Douglas' show, but I certainly would not rule that out.

Let's try again, is Match Game the only game show to have credits so across?

I've seen a couple shows in the UK do it... but not here other than this show.
