http://www.ChaneyElectronics.com This giant geiger mueller tube is one of the most sensitive tubes we have ever seen. This tube is about 7.5" long (total length) and about 5.7" long for the active detecting portion. It is 0.75" in diameter and all black glass construction outer surface. It has two leads and operates in the 800-900VDC range. These were made during the Cold War and we have no data on them except they are Chicago Nuclear Detector Model D-22. These are new old-stock and each tube is tested for proper operation before shipping. Because of the large surface area these are very sensitive and could be used to make a very sensitive geiger counter circuit.
