Pokemon Battle Revolution - Aug 25 11

Rude Awakening...

The title description pretty much sums up the battle. My opponent was completely determined to have all my Pokemon put to sleep, so they can potentially sweep with little effort. Drifblim became a major problem once it's sitrus berry activated. I was more or less playing a guessing game as to figuring out whether or not it had Destiny Bond as a possible back up. That explains the random use of Protect.

In a way, the amount of times Hypnosis missed was undoubtedly my opponents downfall in the end. The fact that they relied heavily on it show's the difference between being victorious, plain unlucky and arguably desperate in my opinion. Had they kept up with the attacking flow, could have possibly altered the outcome in the end.

If there's one thing I am actually happy about with regards to the "5th generation" upgrade, it's definitely the use of Disable. Jumping from a poor 80% to a whooping 100% will bring about major advantages I'm sure. My use is to counter weaknesses such as earthquake and water type attacks providing I'm faster than the attacking user.

With this battle you get to see how handy Disable can be. A scarf PorygonZ was always going to be a handful. Luckily though, I predicted it's item and forcing a rather humorous consequence of action, which I don't think the opponent was too happy about.

@WishfulJirachi - Not a problem. If I remember correctly my Castform ev's are:

156 hp

102 speed

252 sp attack

@FireTsunami85 - Thanks, as mentioned before I can prevent moves like Earthquake and Surf providing I'm faster than the attacking user. In 5th gen, Disable is 100% accuracy, which makes her even more deadly and adaptable ;-}

Great job dude! Such a shame Blazekin's now an uber...only because it can pull off that Speed Boost combo with hardcore physical attacks. SOOO many teams I want to make yet Dream World abilities prevent me from doing jack.

Love this team. Amazing that you're trying a scarfed Solrock. I just use Rock Polish. lol

Yup. disable in gen 5 is really a pain. especially with gengar with sub. I actually run sub disable Froslass in hail. It's a serious annoyance

Nice Battle! im aware of disable as I have an Alakazam with Psychic, Protect, Disable, Subsitute/Taunt. Its very good, since most people if not everyone will expect an offensive Alakazam.

I used your team as a base for my doubles sun team, and it works wonders! Shiftry, Solrock and Castform are great, and Ninetales with this set is just awesome :)

@atreecko Crud! I keep forgetting egg moves can't be bred onto DW Pokemon. Hmm... Maybe an event Blaziken will have it and can "pass" it on. Har har. Pun.
