This is an older video but I have another method that I used in past ( 40 years ago!) and that was to place a Coke bottle on the table and stroke into the opening without touching the edge of the opening...repetitively.....

@realcanuckpatriot hi there, Yes, I too have advised players to try this at home , "the empty fizzy drink bottle routine" but to only use it at home on the kitchen table before leaving for a match , if there is no time to practice your technique.. also placing bottles on snooker tables is not too cool... as many clubs might not like bottles on their expensive cloths. thanks for taking the time to comment though...cheers, K

how important is a cue tip? i got a snooker cue lately and the cue tip that comes with it is so haaard that i always miscue...

Hi there, my advise would be to try a few different brands of tip, until you find one that you like the feel of. you could try friends cues, (if they have different tips) Although you need to remember that the tip is the only thing that actually makes contact with the cueball . So it could be said, it's the most important part ..K

also a true test is to hit the cue ball up and down the brown blue and pink and black spots and see if the cue ball comes back to ur tip
