  • To get the glass etching all of the cream has to be taken off. Otherwise it's like a stencil and paint.

  • Thanks for the info. :) I have learned this from the above comments. It was fun try to figure it out as I did it but I had a ways to go. LOL!

  • Great video...can you tell me which of the Oracle vinyl's you order? There are nine different kinds! HELP!! I really loved the etching...very brave of you to do it live! Thanks!

  • Hmmmm. Good question. It was the first choice when I was in the Oracle. It was $15 for 10 yards. Hope that helps.

  • i love it ! do u have to remove the cream completly or do u remove it like u did in this video!! which btw i love!

  • Thanks!! You have to remove the cream completely. I didn't do it correctly in the video. :)

  • your actually supposed to rinse of the cream with water... that way you see the chemical effect the cream made on the glass... :)

  • Thank you SO much for this video and the inexpensive vinyl source!!

  • Hi!! Interesting video, Thank you! I was trying to find Oracle vinyl online but can't seem to find it. Could you give me some hints, is it a craft store or somethng to do with a film company?

  • i totaly snagged this vid to put up on several web sites...thanx fer the info...

  • Would stickers/cut out label stickers work with glass etching?

  • Thanks for taking the time to post your video. I enjoyed watching it.

  • I liked the video. And all the comments. Quite an education. Robyn, would the vinyl work on creating a stencil for wood projects? Or would it be too sticky and possibly take off some of the paint on the wood piece? If that wouldn't work, what would you suggest? Thanks so much!

  • you can color it by etching it first, then dabbing with Fiesta Ink (Jacquard makes this). Let it sit for a sec, then wash off, it will stay on the etched area.

  • If you add any color to etching cream it will have no effect it's very toxic and should be washed away quickly because it "eats" the top layer of the glass, and your skin if you're not careful!

  • i bought cricut becouse your vid....had to......

    thank U
