In 2001 Six Flags built three of Vekoma's new "Giant Inverted Boomerang" roller coasters at different theme parks throughout the chain - one each at Magic Mountain, Great America and Six Flags Over Georgia.

Initially the rides were plagued with problems and to this day many people swear they've yet to get a chance to ride one, but I personally have seen all three running every time I've visted one of the respective parks.

The coaster in this video is the ride at Great America. It really is a unique and intense experience with both forward and backward vertical lifts and three inversions taken in both directions as well.

As of today only 4 of these coasters were built - the trio of "Deja Vu" coasters and another in Spain.

*** In 2008, the Déjà Vu roller coaster in this video was removed from Six Flags Great America and relocated to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho where it is now known as Aftershock ***

  • @xlno94 It's not just alike - it's the same ride. It was moved from Six Flags to Silverwood.

  • Ok guys, deja never closed! I was on it two days ago!!invertigo at paramount great anerica closed cuz it had a major break down..magic mountians deja vu is open but might be in maitenece when you go

  • @lilrockinboy It's not at the Chicago or Atlanta parks anymore. It's still at the California park. The one from Chicago was moved to Silverwood in Idaho.

So the only places left to ride this coaster in the USA are Six Flags in California or Silverwood in Idaho.

Outside the US, you can go to Spain, Brazil or China.

  • great america is not the same without the big blue & green giant

  • ever since i was younger i wanted to ride this. Now tht they closed it down i want to sue them

  • Hehehe, note of warning to males who want to ride Deja Vu-

The seating is not very kind to your man parts, especially when it "catches" the train right after you've finished the return journey and are about to be lowered down. (1:03)

  • I remember when this was at great America. I was only six, and j wasn't tall enough. But one of my friends have rode it before!

  • @KkAndGProductions No. That is being moved from the California park to the New England park over the winter. So the two in the US will now be at the Six Flags in Massachusetts and Silverwood in Idaho.
