To expand on this explanation; Cops deal with alot of bullshit and a lot of dangerous situations. The suspect could have a weapon such as a knife or possibly even a small fire arm in his pocket. Officer safety is the most important thing. If you don't want to be choke slammed, cooperate and be polite.
