If anyone knows some solutions to controlling the Aperture, Shutter Speed, and Exposure at the same time, let me know. I need all the help I can get.

  • Are the lowlight capabilities the same on both the two sony's you talked about?

  • @CRMChicago Yes. Internally, the cameras are identical. But the 2012 models are being released shortly, so if you have the money, I'd wait.

  • So camera what did you use to film this review? Very useful, thanks!

  • @fuscia13 I shot the review with a Panasonic GH2 with stock 14-42mm lens.

  • what's the name of the adapter for the mic? thank you!

  • @RobbyPauwels I don't have a specific model number or name, you'll have to look up "sony camcorder hot shoe adapter" and see what comes up.

  • Thanks for the post. This is a very unassuming HD video camera that many don't know about. Thanks for the concise, well made video :)

  • Helpful video thanks I will probably go with a more expensive Sony after seeing the placements of jacks, I always break them if not well inserted. So wtf does thier translation @ 2:48 mean? It says when shooting movies set to HD 60p: recording of still images and 720p output impossible - so it means it can only record 720 60p directly to hardrive I guess?

  • Checking the specs at Sony.co.uk, the sensor on the CS-700VEB is "1.0/2.88 Type Exmor R™ CMOS Sensor" and the CX570E is "1.0/3.91 Type Exmor R™ CMOS Sensor", so there appears to be difference in sensor size between the two models.
