My wifes band, Buckshutem played at the Cedarwood, Cresatelli's, Babe's, Eugene's Country Palace. Golden Nugget, & all of those places. She also played there with Norm Crocker's band. ... Around the early 80's "The South Jersey Stomp " was in the juke box @ the Milmay Inn, Rt 557 & 552 (Beuna Vista TWP, NJ) I played it all the time while we played pinball.

The Cedarwood was a bar near Vineland, NJ. When the bars closed in Glassboro we'd go down the line to the Cedarwood. In the words of my old roommate " As I remember skinny farmer men partnered with large women with even larger hair.
Pairs of two "two-stepped" in an oval line around the dance floor. At each end they would two step around each other in a circle and then continue following the oval.
They always seemed a bit possessed to me (and my Heineken)." This was in the late 70's early 80's.

Great post. Thanks. Does anyone know more about this song/artist? You don't expect this kind of music from NJ.
