I have a Love / Hate relationship with paper trimmers. I think I have finally found one that may be the one I have been always looking for. In this video I show you many of my past paper trimmers and why they have failed me, the things I liked about them and my dislikes. And my newest find that may be the answers to my prayers.

Do you still love your Purple Cows metal trimmer that you got at Costco for $20?????? I looked for an update but haven't found it. I have had the SAME problems with trimmers...HATE that the sell trimmers that don' even cut straight!!!! Please let me know how it has worked out for you....I have the PURPLE Purple Cows trimmer and it is also a hair shy of straight, like my Fiskars trimmer that you have (gray plastic). thanks for your informative videos!

Great Video..will be watching for a review after you have used this for a couple of months:-)  I hope it meets your expectations! I have the same love/hate relationship with trimmers LOL...I as well have the MM trimmer however just as yours the little plastic strip to hold the paper down broke :-( I was thinking of taking mine back to Michaels or to contact MM to see what their reply is. This wasn't a cheap trimmer. I have approx. 6 trimmers and would definately buy another. TFS RuthAnn

I have the same making memories trimmer that you have and I think I've used it twice. I can not gt it to cut straight for me. the top piece is on just slightly crooked. When I contacted CS at making memories they said that the top is not really to use as a guidline to line up your paper. I have yet to find a cutter that cuts straight. I'm sure some of it is user error but not all. I think I own at present 6 or 7 cutters. I totally get the love hate relationship lol.

making memories has wonderful customer service...write them and tell them they will send you a brand new one

call making memories. I called them a few years ago about that cutter when the lines started to wear off and they sent me a whole new cutter. I'm sure they will send or sell the part to you, or replace the cutter.

Great video. Love your new find. I'm still using the Fiskars one you had, love that it cuts through med chipboard like butter. Please let us know about how you like the new one...paper trimmers are like wrinkle cream...always looking for something better.

I am always on the hunt for a really good trimmer.  Never have seen one before that has both types of blades on it. And what a great price. I will be interested to see what you think of it. TFS
