  • hello! i have an 40 d but i cant see the green information in the viewfinder.

    haow to configure/?

  • Could be two things. Press your shutter button halfway down or try turning the dial on top to another setting. Let me know what worked for you.

  • what the hell is up with the ending?

  • It's a commercial for our 40D training video. We put it at the end so you can not be forced to watch it before the video started. I have now added an annotation on it to clarify.

  • I couldn't imagine standing so far away from the model and shouting to her what I want her to do. Instead of some crappy zoom you should rather use shorter, bright prime lens (like 85 mm), which allow you to stand much closer to the model and therefore, have much better contact with her.

  • Yes you can do that, we did not do that because most people do not have the money for an 85mm prime lens. Most people buy a wide range zoom lens. We are not as far away as we appear. Just like when you go to a tv studio and everything is closer together that you ever imagined. We wanted to use what most people would own.

  • nope aint work in no setings

  • the 300D is a Canon model..

  • Thanks for the great video jonvideo!

  • BTW - That was a Nikon Camera in the video, looked like a 300D to me. Anyway, Someone said to get closer. You want to be about 15 feet away for optimal portraits, the angles from closer in make the ears look funny. That is why many people prefer a 105 prime over an 85 or 50 for portraits.

I still use a 50, but just because I am cheap
