Great job Jim. The two strikes at 8:12 really smoothed out that face. It's been so long since I've even touched a stone. You wouldn't think I was the type to knap any more. But I still like watching. And you do some great work 5*

looks like obsidian. is it it?

@stidumaron It is dacite from Oregon, very similar to obsidian except it is not transluscent

Looking good again, just notice you have a lot of Dacite, do you ever work with Texas chert without heat treating? It is
tuff to work like that.

Yes, Texas rock, especially Pedernales, is one of my favorites and most of it works well raw....
