I think your mistake is that as a christian your view on God and your world view are linked.

You identify as a Christian which means your a theist.

When you ask someone what their religious view are your looking to compare your own world view with theirs. When someone says “I’m an atheist” they are explain that they do not follow a religion or hold a belief in god, but you translate it as a worldview (which it is not)

Atheism is as much a world view as theism.

"atheists define themselves by what they don't believe in". atheism isn't a belief system you moron. it literally means 'without gods', so it is literally only a statement on the issue of sufficient evidence for god. i'm not an atheist when it comes to politics or morality because it doesn't make sense. i happen to have many beliefs but they are not based on something for which there is no evidence for. if i'm conservative politically it's got nothing to do with god. pea brained yank cunt

i do find it odd that you are unable to put forth why freewill exists at all. if god knows who you will marry before you marry them, then it is not really your choice but rather an illusion of choice.

The only reason we need a term "atheist" to describe the default position of lacking belief in imaginary things is because there's such a thing as a theist. If there would be no people with imaginary friends (theists), the term atheist would be unnecessary since everyone would be an atheist.

Im a beliver, not in a Christian sense. However there is no way to either logically prove or disprove the existance of a God or Gods. I think that where faith comes into play.

This guy is a little too snarkly for my taste but at least he's seems to be much more intellectual than most born againers or fundementalists. Mostly he just seems to say Horay! for his particualr point of view. No one knows less than he who thinks he knows it all.

I'm not saying "I don't believe in x and neither should you", I'm saying "You believe in x, and I don't. X is causing you to spread hate, fear and ignorance. Which I think is bad. So here are some reasons why you shouldn't believe in x."

Consider I "lack belief in Aliens" "There is absolutely no evidence", There are too many aliens to believe in one' I'm just an alien sceptic to 1 more alien than u. "I was born an alien disbeliever" Alien belief is just wishful thinking & not based on reason." Do these silly arguments sound familar? So do I need to waste my life debating their nonexistence, set up websites inviting membership & donations, hold conventions, seek converts, advertise on buses- absolutely not!
