I know MJ was a great performer but damn, Sammy was the greatest entertainer of the last century. NOBODY has come close.

i wanted to respond to your comments about sammy. he was a good man. the best of the rat pack as they were called. the best as in the most dignified. not a bully or ass kiss. i was a bartender in vegas in the 50's and 60's and got to know him casually.
by the way, he never thought franks stupid smokey jokes were funny.

he loved Frank Sinatra as Frank (i was privileged to have known Frank in is final few years) loved him as a brother so i think that is wrong to say adeboy12345 about the jokes, they really did love each other and i think they were closer than Frank and Dean, but at the end of the day they are and always will be LEGENDS all of them
God Bless them all and thanks for them sharing ourselves. Long Live them all

I don't like comparing them. They both rank in my top 5 ever. Sammy didn't write songs, Tony was one of the best at writing songs. On the other hand Sammy danced better, played over 8 instruments (I forget the figure) and did impressions, he did an awful lot. They're great together (see the video on youtube). If you tally up the talents of them both, analytically, Sammy does come out ahead. You can't go forgetting the likes of Darin when it comes to true all rounders and entertainers either.

It's good to see Michael buble and Harry Connick Jr. doing this type of entertainement, but they don't even come close to the Rat Pack.

Newley was a truly gifter song writer and a highly skilled actor. He was a great entertainer. And he gave Sammy many of his top hits and even performed with him on occasion.
where is this!
