Jefferson was known to go against "naturalization". He also spoke out against immigration of anytime. It's a slap in the face to do this in Jefferson's front yard. Shame on these people

@ErikNikolai i think its only fitting that a sitting president would attend such a ceremony at such a historical place.

Can anyone who seeks naturalization apply to take the oath at Monticello? Also, out of curiosity, was it a coincidence that the President chose to attend this particular ceremony?
