  • The ballast is put down on the outside of the track on the shoulder and there are extra,you can't see, being deposited on the other side by a conveyor away from the track. Thx for looking

  • There are two wheels rotating same direction,if you look a little closer to the other side you will be able to see it. Thx for looking

  • Ballast Cleaning Machine, or BCM. In Queensland, we were going to call ours the Ballast Undercutting Machine, until we realised what the acronym would be.
