Ballast Cleaning Machine, or BCM. In Queensland, we were going to call ours the Ballast Undercutting Machine, until we realised what the acronym would be.

The ballast is put down on the outside of the track on the shoulder and there are extra,you can't see, being deposited on the other side by a conveyor away from the track. Thx for looking
