  • Bravo but no to Vaseline, you want a Teflon electric grease. the Vaseline will "eat" away the rubber O ring. Not to mention it will collect dirt. Trust me I have seen this. Now if the O rings are not a rubber based. like a silicon based O ring, Vaseline won't hurt them at all.

  • @Aharndts You are absolutely correct. It is better to use a silicon based lubricant. We suggested vaseline because it's something most people will have handy around the house. Some of our techs here even recommend not using any lubricant at all. It will make that initial fit a bit tighter, but with repeated use it will get easier. Thank you for your comments.
