This is from 1978....before he was even on a record label. People are just walking by, never knowing who they just passed, one of the greatest guitarists who has ever walked this earth. Great cover too!

Wow, that brings back some good memories. My friends and I frequented Michael's shows there early on. I can remember him playing upstairs, too, to just a handful of people. Always enjoyed his choice of covers, particularly when he'd sit at the piano for Never Never Land. (He was a Todd Rundgren fan.) Great stuff, Randy. Thanks for sharing!

palo alto didn't take long to figure out michael's gift. a few years after this he was selling out the theater inside. we also moved him to the end of the courtyard where people couldn't pass by. it was a movie theater/restaurant and bar.
