Hello My name is Sasha Asheghi and this is my Engineering 1166 project for Doug Cooper's class at the University of Connecticut. This video provides information on carbon nanotubes, it goes over three of the most efficient methods of carbon nanotube synthesis; then goes in depth with Catalytic Chemical Vapor Deposition and wraps up with possible applications of carbon nanotubes

  • this is a link to good science.

  • BAD SCIENCE!!!

    source one: www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/fulltext/121657846/HTMLSTART

    source two: nothing

    PLAGERISM! FAIL!!!

  • conflicting information on electric arc production... 90% carbon nanotubes are achieved using this method. youtube search: "synthesis of carbon nanotubes"

also, its not entirely possible to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of technologys that have not entirely come to fruition; ie: electric arc discharge process nanotubes.

  • Awesome. Thanks Sasha Asheghi, and thanks to your prof, Doug Cooper, for giving you this assignment.
