This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability.
It's simply a quick demonstration of the game so that anyone not familiar with these old games can see what it looks like.
It's also here so that I can embed it, along with most of the games in my collection, on my website (see link above).

Any opinions or comments I make regarding these games should largely be taken with a pinch of salt.
They are usually based on my first impressions after a very brief play.

I have a video of the Coleco version on here... I don't think I did nearly as well, though the toughest version I've played is on the Atari XL/XE.

I'm thinking once I get my hands on a few other versions, (most notably Donkey King on Dragon 32, and the TI99/4a version), I'll do a comparison video.

Heh, it's true... though in this case, it really is just because I couldn't see what I was doing. This is the easiest version of Donkey Kong I've ever played.

I did play this in the arcades, back in the day. Guess what? I rarely got off the first level.

I watched until 2:48 and it seems he does not know that thing hanging there is a hammer you can use to smash barrels. Now i will watch the rest and find out.

I tried to watch this right when it went up and YT kept giving errors saying it wasn't available. Then when I tried to find it today, YT assumed I'd already watched it so removed it from my subs list. I did a search for Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Game Boy and neither turned this video up. Weird and frustrating. I used to have this game and loved it, though I couldn't beat this one specific screen.

LOL, late night or early morning gaming. I love it. That's great!! I think that the game was cheating you a bit so I totally understand, a few times you were getting trapped where you coulldn't do much at all. Great vid none the less !
