My Spitz, Logan, loves the water so we got him this little pool and he enjoyed cooling off in it all summer. Please excuse his funny summer haircut :)

  • hi, you have a very pretty dog :) i was wondering, do you have to take this type of doggies for rooming? do they need like a hair cut? or i can give it a bath at home with no prob. Im looking for a low maintenance puppy, because im going to be in an apartment, but i cant live without dogs, i ADORE them :)

  • Well, if you are looking for a dog with easy grooming and for apartment life, I would recommend a small to medium sized short haired breed. Most pomeranians or German spitz need regular brushing or they can become easily matted. Logan doesn't have a full double coat so he's easy to brush and wash at home, but he gets really hot in the summer when its about 90 F and higher so I get him groomed professionally two or three times a summer.

Thanks for the compliment, hope that helps. :)

  • We are considering getting one.

We have a cat and a parrot.

Do you think it would be a good choice??

I have heard they bark alot is this true??

  • I have had many dogs and I currently own a chihuahua/dachshund mix, a German pinscher, and Logan. I think the spitz breeds make amazing pets, they have little health problems and Logan is one of the smartest dogs I have ever owned. As far as barking goes, he is probably around the average range for a dog. My chihuahua mix and German pin bark far more then Logan does; and he usually only barks once he hears them.

Hope that helps. You can message me if you have any questions, good luck!

  • those dogs are cool how do you spell it chewower??? lol

  • It's chihuahua :)... Holly is actually Dachshund Chihuahua mix but she looks very Chihuahua.

  • =)) I have a german spitz, but he hates water. It takes forever to get him in the bath tub, 'cause he'll ussualy realize when we are about to wash him. That just goes to show how smart these little ones are! :D

  • Spitz are the ultimate guard dog i lost mine today :( very sad they are very lovable dog
