Metal Gear is a term we've applied to the combined use of persona management (fake internet people operated en masse by a software-assisted human operator), attribution (identification and surveillance of those who'd prefer to remain anonymous), and advanced data collection and modelling. Our earlier investigation into HBGary, Palantir, and the like shows that such methodology has already been misused at high levels; our intent is to root out any other ongoing or planned misuse by public and private entities and then expose them. Its called manipulation of public opinion and a subversion tactic. They have been playing at this game a lot longer than people realize. With the advent of Anonymous its just becoming much easier to uncover. Anonymous just stumbled across a piece of a much bigger picture that all of the Government and Judicial System are involved in.

I actualy spotted a few bots sending messages and friend requests on facebook two or three times. I actualy sent a replay message asking why I should accept a bot. :)

Spoted it due to conversation out of context, and consistent addition of 10 friends per day (at least) on their part.

@franks2732 Further to that I have noticed that the 'radical right' vloggers are geared up to troll, spam and false flag videos and channels. From what I have seen this is 'well planned'. People are acting in groups and are being encouraged to do it. It is layered. You teach the "youth' how to alter perception via amazon, yt, facebook etc, you have people payed to do so with numerous identities and you have a small army of well trained trolls.

It concerns me because it has already happened to me. I have looked at M Flints page and the TYT. The comments being made by many are orchestrated. The language is scripted and you get the feeling that the people commenting are being paid to do it. I would say 1 in 10 right wing comments on popular left wing channels are not genuine people with a disagreement in ideology. I think I am being very conservative, I expect the figures are much higher tbc
