Its just an adrenelin reaction to what he is doing, I have played live and after show I have been told too many times to take it easy...you are right Tommy is one of the most talented though and he gets after it

Tommy is a great guitar player, and no one can take that away, be he is just to fast for my taste. Tommy's music is really good. I just like the old version better. Thanks.

watch Angelina or his rendition of Somewhere over the rainbow for slower more emotive pieces. but Classical Gas is a real show piece, its supposed to be energetic. besides he couldn't play with more love and care.

Yeah it does to break it, but they can be damaged pretty easily.
They can be damaged for instance by strings that are too heavy a guage...
And even just from warping from heat and moisture etc.
