This is a visual effects short/music video I started work on in summer 2010, which i've been unable to complete due to client work commitments!
After hearing Pendulum's new album 'Immersion' and wanting to make a short for a while, I started working on playing around with ideas and decided I would look at recreating the pinbox effect in David Fincher's famous video for Nine Inch Nails.
After finding a way to recreate a similar effect, I filmed some plates using a Canon EOS 550D, shot some HDRI for image based lighting and started putting it together.
This is about half of the video so far, I have plans to re-introduce the mannequin in the 'digital world' and have him try to break back out into reality through the PC monitor. I already have all the scene files ready to go but no time to finish animating for another year or so..
I have to wait to be able to finish the video some time in future as at the moment i'm helping create a video game for Sega and time is very limited. But I do have plans to pickup where the video leaves off at some point...
