@LetsGoRangers1994Cup Let's not forget what talent they had around them. Gretzky had Coffee, Messier, Kurri and Anderson and Kurri and Anderson along with Gretzky were prolific scorers. They each had 50 goals in a season.! Lemieux's help paled in comparison. Gretzky was definitely great but had Lemieux played in Canada or any original six city, he would have stood alone as the greatest ever. Stats have a lot to do with your team. Lemieux possessed skills unlike any other.

@Psychokid70 Dude people say Gretzky is the greatest BECAUSE HE WAS. Stop being a Mario homer. Gretzky was injured badly in the 91 Canada Cup, did you know that little boy? His back was never the same. Can I whine too about what Gretzky's numbers "might have been" had he not sustained that injury? On second thought, nevermind. I dont whine about "what ifs" UNLIKE SOME CERTAIN OTHER WHINERS here.

First - Lemieux's rookie season(1985) at Calgary.(see my vids)
Second - 1988 at St. Louis. He had 5 or 6 points, include OT winner.
