  • Very interesting, I can appreciate this in a historical context- after all, I love classic bikes, and, I did have family in the German military during this era-

However, as always, I will not promote or support any ideology that is hateful or opressive. The Nazis were just that.

  • @davetherave28 You must also not promote or support the British, Soviet, or American history - all based on hate and oppression - as are all empires. A sad fact of life, for which nobody is free of guilt.

  • Thks Artur ! How did you find these rare photos of camaraderie ??? Very good job !!!

  • @alexandre210613 Thank you for the kind words . I search in many places for the old images, as I love the bikes and I respect the soldiers.

  • Artur, on 1:26 are they 7 on that sidecar, for picture only right?

  • Yes so many did not normally ride on a sidecar

  • @wimondo34 Heavenly Peace to your Grandfather! As all soldiers deserved to be respected.

Leather coats are not warm, unless they are lined with some fur,or heavy cotton.

  • @panzermadame yes that is a good point.

My grandfather was British and he fought in Norway in 1940, he mentioned that the British soldiers did not have warm clothing but that the Germans wore long belted overcoats and this gave them an advantage.

  • @wimondo34 It's easy to figure how can a motorcycle stand if not in motion, especially in snow.

A sidecar can it has three wheels.

  • @panzermadame Good point... I heard that British motorcycle messengers in Norway had difficulty in the snow. The German motorcycles with the sidecars were able to catch up with them even though they were far heavier machines.

  • zundapp the best

  • Artur, 5 ***** for this video, I have send the picture on 0:28 to one of my friend.
